What are RED Fridays?
• RED Friday, in which RED stands for “Remembering Everyone Deployed,” is a nationally recognized campaign inviting everyone – military and non-military – to wear red on any given Friday to show support for all deployed troops.

• RED Friday began in the early 2000s and has two possible origins: one is an email that began circulating among US military families asking recipients to wear red on Fridays to remember our troops deployed in the aftermath of 9/11.  The second is an event organized by two spouses of Canadian military asking their fellow Canadians to support by wearing red.
